PVC strip curtains in Bow

In short

Strip curtains are the simplest way to part-close a busy opening in Bow (E3). Hook-on strips make wear easy to deal with, ribbed strips cope with forklifts, and polar grades keep working in freezers.

Town: Bow
Postcode district: E3
Area: Greater London
Survey: Free for new installations

What to specify

Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.

What this work can involve

Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.

Keeping strip curtains safe in England

The business running the site in Bow must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.

Access, phasing and timing

Before work starts we send a method statement and risk assessment, confirm who on site will be our contact and agree where materials and access equipment will go. On shared industrial estates that can mean booking yard space with the landlord.

PVC strip curtains in Bow: your questions

How much is a PVC strip curtain in Bow?

Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Bow in writing after a free survey.

How often should strip curtains in Bow be replaced?

It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Bow site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
