Options that matter on site
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
Typical scopes of work
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Ashton-under-Lyne must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Access, phasing and timing
Before work starts we send a method statement and risk assessment, confirm who on site will be our contact and agree where materials and access equipment will go. On shared industrial estates that can mean booking yard space with the landlord.

PVC strip curtains in Ashton-under-Lyne: your questions
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Ashton-under-Lyne?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Ashton-under-Lyne in writing after a free survey.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Ashton-under-Lyne site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Ashton-under-Lyne?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
