Options that matter on site
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
Traffic route rules that apply in Kidsgrove
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Keeping your site running during the work
For busy sites in Staffordshire the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Frequently asked questions
Which strip curtain grade suits our Kidsgrove premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Kidsgrove?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Kidsgrove in writing after a free survey.
How often should strip curtains in Kidsgrove be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
