Options for PVC strip curtains in Congleton
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
Jobs we can carry out
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Traffic route rules that apply in Congleton
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Planning the work around your site
For busy sites in Cheshire the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains
Which strip curtain grade suits our Congleton premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Congleton?
Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
How often should strip curtains in Congleton be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
