The short version
Strip curtains are the simplest way to part-close a busy opening in Redditch (B97). Hook-on strips make wear easy to deal with, ribbed strips cope with forklifts, and polar grades keep working in freezers.

What to specify
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
What this work can involve
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Redditch must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.

Questions from businesses in Redditch
Which strip curtain grade suits our Redditch premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Redditch?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
How often should strip curtains in Redditch be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
