Industrial door work in Dartford
Besides Dartford, we can survey and quote for sites in Erith, Bexley, Bexleyheath and the rest of Kent.
For busy sites in Kent the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.
Loading bay safety in England
Dock levellers, shelters and restraints are work equipment, so in Dartford the business running the site must keep them in efficient working order under PUWER 1998, and keep traffic routes safe under the Workplace Regulations 1992. Dock levellers are built to BS EN 1398; powered loading bay doors are covered by the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and BS EN 12453.
Fire shutter law in England
A fire shutter only does its job if it closes when needed. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person must keep fire safety equipment maintained in efficient working order, and keeping test records is the usual way to show it. Shutters must also stay as the manufacturer tested and certified them, so repairs should use the right parts. In Dartford, the enforcing authority is the local fire and rescue authority.
