The short version
Building a new cold room in Rhyl or replacing a tired door? We quote a fixed price in writing after a free survey that covers temperature, traffic, hygiene and pressure relief needs.

- Free for new installations
What to specify
- Impact protection. Kick plates, buffers and bollards to keep trucks off leaves and frames.
- Pressure relief. Relief valves to balance pressure after the door closes or during defrost.
- Inside release. Every door can be opened from inside without a key, even if locked from outside.
- Hygienic finishes. Plastisol-coated steel, stainless steel or GRP for food and pharmaceutical use.
- Tight seals. The leaf pulls in against its gaskets on closing so cold air stays where it belongs.
What this work can involve
- Adding a heated pressure relief valve to a freezer room where suction makes the door hard to open once it closes.
- Renewing worn gaskets and the frame heater on a chiller door that no longer seals properly.
- Installing a high-speed freezer door in front of an existing sliding cold store door on a busy picking route.
Powered door rules that apply in Rhyl
Rhyl is in Wales, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.
How the work is organised
For busy sites in Clwyd the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.
