Options that matter on site

Tight seals. The leaf pulls in against its gaskets on closing so cold air stays where it belongs.
Electric sliding. Powered sliding doors that open on demand and close automatically, with full safety devices.
Thick insulation. Foam-filled leaves sized to the room temperature, from chillers to freezers.
Hygienic finishes. Smooth, cleanable finishes chosen to meet your hygiene and audit standards.
Inside release. Every door can be opened from inside without a key, even if locked from outside.

What this work can involve

Fitting freezer-grade PVC strip curtains behind cold store doors that stand open during loading.
Fitting a hinged chiller door with a stainless steel finish to a walk-in cold room in a commercial kitchen.
Renewing worn gaskets and the frame heater on a chiller door that no longer seals properly.

Powered door rules that apply in Ashton-in-Makerfield

Ashton-in-Makerfield is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

How the work is organised

For busy sites in Greater Manchester the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.
