Options that matter on site
- Inflatable seals. Air bags inflate around the parked trailer for a tight seal.
- Sized to your fleet. Curtain sizes matched to vehicle widths, heights and dock height.
- Temperature control. Helps hold heat or cold inside the building with dock doors open.
- Retractable frames. If a trailer reverses too far, the frame gives way and springs back instead of bending.
- Foam seals. Foam pads that the trailer squeezes into, ideal where every vehicle is much the same.
Jobs we can carry out
- Replacing torn side and top curtains on existing retractable shelter frames instead of buying new shelters.
- Pricing shelters, levellers and sectional doors together for the refurbishment of an existing goods-in area.
- Installing inflatable dock shelters at a chilled goods-in to help hold temperature while trailers are unloaded.
Who is responsible for loading bay equipment at a site in Bangor (Down)?
The employer or occupier, under PUWER (Northern Ireland) 1999 and the Workplace Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1993. Planned servicing, daily checks and a procedure to stop trailers moving during loading are the practical basics HSENI will expect.
Keeping your site running during the work
Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.
