Options for dock shelters and seals in Cricklewood
- Inflatable seals. Once the vehicle is in place, inflated bags press against its sides and roof.
- Weather protection. Keeps wind, rain and cold out of the dock during loading.
- Sized to your fleet. We size curtains to the vans, rigids and trailers that actually use your bay.
- Foam seals. Foam pads that the trailer squeezes into, ideal where every vehicle is much the same.
- Replacement curtains. Damaged curtains can be swapped without replacing the whole shelter.
Typical scopes of work
- Fitting foam dock seals at a bay used only by a dedicated fleet of identical trailers.
- Pricing shelters, levellers and sectional doors together for the refurbishment of an existing goods-in area.
- Installing inflatable dock shelters at a chilled goods-in to help hold temperature while trailers are unloaded.
Loading bay safety in England
Dock levellers, shelters and restraints are work equipment, so in Cricklewood the business running the site must keep them in efficient working order under PUWER 1998, and keep traffic routes safe under the Workplace Regulations 1992. Dock levellers are built to BS EN 1398; powered loading bay doors are covered by the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and BS EN 12453.
Keeping your site running during the work
Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.

Frequently asked questions
Do you fit dock shelters for cold stores around Greater London?
Yes. We fit inflatable and retractable shelters at cold stores and chilled sites across Greater London, often alongside insulated doors and levellers, to help hold temperature and limit condensation at the dock while trailers are worked.
Can a dock shelter in Cricklewood be fitted with our existing leveller?
Usually, yes. The shelter fits around the dock door and works with most existing levellers, provided the bumpers stop the trailer at the right distance from the wall. We check the bumpers and leveller lip on survey.
Do you repair dock shelters in Cricklewood?
Yes. We straighten or replace bent frames and arms, replace curtains, repair inflatable shelter blowers and bags, and renew bumpers. Repair visits are chargeable, and we quote before ordering any made-to-measure parts.
