Industrial door replacement in Stanley

Quick answer

Is an old door at your Stanley site costing more in repairs than it is worth? We price replacement alongside repair so you can compare, then handle the whole changeover if replacement makes sense.

Town: Stanley
Postcode district: DH9
Area: County Durham
Survey: Free for new installations

Options that matter on site

Ongoing servicing. New door added to a maintenance schedule from year one.
Opening repairs. Any damage to the opening is put right so the new door fixes securely.
Disposal. Old doors taken away for recycling or disposal.
Free survey. We inspect the old door and measure the opening at no cost before quoting.
Minimal downtime. Made-to-measure door ordered first so the swap takes a day.

Jobs we can carry out

Phasing the replacement of several loading doors so only one bay is out of use at a time.
Removing a rotted timber frame and fitting new steel jambs before installing a replacement roller shutter.
Replacing a busy internal shutter with a high-speed fabric door so the opening is no longer left standing open.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Stanley are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Keeping your site running during the work

For busy sites in County Durham the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Industrial door replacement in Stanley: your questions

Do you take the old door away from our Stanley site?

Yes. Strip-out includes removing the old door, springs, guides and drive from site for recycling or disposal. It is priced as a separate line in the quote so you can see exactly what removal costs.

How long will our opening in Stanley be out of use?

The new door is made to measure before the old one is removed, so a single door is usually stripped out and replaced in a day, with the opening secured again by the end of the visit.

Do you replace doors at multiple sites across County Durham?

Yes. We replace doors across County Durham, including planned programmes covering several sites or a whole run of units, phased so that each site keeps operating normally while its doors are being changed.
