Options that matter on site

Disposal. We take the old door away so there is nothing left on site to deal with.
Minimal downtime. The new door is ready before the old one comes out, keeping downtime short.
Right door type. Like-for-like or an upgrade to suit how the opening is used now.
Safe strip-out. Tensioned springs and heavy parts are removed by trained engineers.
Ongoing servicing. New door added to a maintenance schedule from year one.

Typical scopes of work

Phasing the replacement of several loading doors so only one bay is out of use at a time.
Replacing vehicle-damaged roller shutters on a block of small industrial units between tenancies.
Stripping out a sectional door with broken springs and an obsolete motor, and fitting a new door with an inverter drive.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Dagenham are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Keeping your site running during the work

Sites in and around Dagenham vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

Frequently asked questions

Is the survey free for door replacement in Dagenham?

Yes. Surveys for replacements are free. We assess the old door and opening, measure for the new door, and quote a fixed price that lists the door, strip-out, disposal and any opening works separately.

Can we change door type when replacing at our Dagenham unit?

Usually, yes, subject to headroom, side room and back room. Common upgrades are single-skin to insulated, manual to electric and conventional to high-speed. We check the space and the structure on survey before recommending a door type.

Should we repair or replace our door in Dagenham?

If the door has several faults, recurring problems or parts that are no longer made, replacement is often better value. We price repair and replacement side by side so you can decide on cost and remaining life.
