What this work can involve

Removing a rotted timber frame and fitting new steel jambs before installing a replacement roller shutter.
Phasing the replacement of several loading doors so only one bay is out of use at a time.
Stripping out a sectional door with broken springs and an obsolete motor, and fitting a new door with an inverter drive.

Powered door rules that apply in Sutton Coldfield

Sutton Coldfield is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Planning the work around your site

Electrical work is the part that most often delays a job. If a new or converted door needs a supply, we confirm the motor's requirement at quote stage so your electrician can provide an isolator in the right place before installation day.
