In England, fire shutters are part of the fire precautions the responsible person must keep maintained under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005: in efficient working order and in good repair. Testing at suitable intervals and keeping the results is expected good practice and supports your fire risk assessment. Enforcement in Skelmersdale is by the local fire and rescue authority.

The person in control of the premises: the responsible person in England and Wales, the dutyholder in Scotland, or in Northern Ireland the person with fire safety duties. Check your lease to see whether landlord or tenant arranges servicing.
Do you service fire shutters across Lancashire?
Yes. We service and drop-test fire shutters across Lancashire, including most makes we did not install, and provide a written report for each shutter. Servicing visits are chargeable at a fixed price per shutter.
