What to specify

Light curtains. Sensors along the side frames watch the whole opening and keep the door open while it is occupied.
Self-repairing curtains. After a knock, many curtains reset themselves automatically instead of waiting for an engineer.
Spiral doors. Rigid insulated slats on a spiral for fast, secure, wind-resistant external doors.
Inverter drives. A frequency inverter accelerates and brakes the curtain smoothly, cutting wear on every cycle.
Fabric doors. Lightweight roll-up curtains that suit most internal doorways and many protected external ones.

Typical scopes of work

Fitting a wind-resistant high-speed fabric door to a sheltered external yard opening, with traffic lights for drivers.
Fitting a self-repairing fabric door between production and dispatch where a conventional shutter stands open all shift.
Installing an insulated spiral door as the main external opening on a temperature-controlled distribution unit.

Your questions about high-speed doors

Do high-speed doors in Newry need more servicing than standard doors?

Usually, yes, because they cycle so often. We base the service interval on the cycle counter and the manufacturer's guidance rather than a fixed annual visit, and can set up a planned maintenance schedule.

What safety features will a high-speed door at our Newry premises have?

Typically a full-height light curtain or photocells, limited closing forces, and on many fabric models a soft or breakaway bottom edge. The exact package comes from the risk assessment for your traffic and is tested before handover.

How much does a high-speed door cost in Newry?

Our guide price is £7,495 to £15,995 ex VAT for a high-speed fabric door and £17,995 to £34,995 for a spiral (rigid slat) door, supplied and fitted. We survey your Newry opening free of charge and then confirm a fixed price in writing.
