Jobs we can carry out

Fitting a freezer door with heated frame and inside release to a new cold room within a food production unit.
Replacing corroded roller shutters on a vehicle workshop with insulated roller doors and new key-switch controls.
Installing a fire shutter in a compartment wall where a conveyor line passes between production and dispatch areas.

Who is responsible for door safety at a site in Newry?

In Northern Ireland, the business in control of the premises must keep doors and gates safe under the Workplace Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1993 and maintain work equipment under PUWER (Northern Ireland) 1999, with HSENI as the regulator. The installer who supplies or motorises a door hands over the conformity documents and user instructions; CE marking remains the relevant mark for machinery here.

How the work is organised

Before work starts we send a method statement and risk assessment, confirm who on site will be our contact and agree where materials and access equipment will go. On shared industrial estates that can mean booking yard space with the landlord.

Your questions about industrial door installation

How soon could a new door be installed at our Newry premises?

It depends mainly on the manufacturer's lead time for a made-to-measure door, which we confirm in the quote. Installation is then booked around your operations, and most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day.

Who signs off a new powered door at our Newry site?

When we assemble or motorise a door, we take on the manufacturer's role under machinery law: risk assessment, testing, conformity marking and the Declaration of Conformity. You then keep the door maintained as the employer or occupier.

Do you service and repair industrial doors across County Down?

Yes. We repair and maintain the doors we install and most other makes across County Down. Repair and service visits are chargeable, and a planned maintenance schedule can be set up once the new door is in.
