Typical scopes of work

Supplying a bottom-rolling sliding door for a wide opening where there is no headroom for a coiled or tracked door.
Phasing the replacement of several loading bay doors over consecutive weekends so goods-in stays open during the week.
Adding a high-speed fabric door inside an existing shutter so the main door can stay open through the working day.

Powered door rules in Northern Ireland

Craigavon is in Northern Ireland, where workplace safety is regulated by HSENI under the Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order 1978. The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1993 and PUWER (Northern Ireland) 1999 require occupiers to keep powered doors safe and maintained. Under the Windsor Framework, EU machinery rules and CE marking continue to apply to powered doors placed on the market here, with the EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 applying from 20 January 2027.

Planning the work around your site

Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.

Questions from businesses in Craigavon

How soon could a new door be installed at our Craigavon premises?

It depends mainly on the manufacturer's lead time for a made-to-measure door, which we confirm in the quote. Installation is then booked around your operations, and most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day.

Which door types do you install in Craigavon?

Roller shutters, insulated roller doors, sectional overhead doors, high-speed doors, fire shutters, sliding and folding doors, hangar doors, cold store doors, steel personnel doors, traffic doors and strip curtains, plus loading bay equipment such as levellers and shelters.

Who signs off a new powered door at our Craigavon site?

When we assemble or motorise a door, we take on the manufacturer's role under machinery law: risk assessment, testing, conformity marking and the Declaration of Conformity. You then keep the door maintained as the employer or occupier.
