What we fit in Forres

Fabric doors. Lightweight roll-up curtains that suit most internal doorways and many protected external ones.
Inverter drives. A frequency inverter accelerates and brakes the curtain smoothly, cutting wear on every cycle.
Vision panels. See-through panels let drivers and pedestrians spot each other before the door opens.
Smart activation. The door opens only for the traffic you choose, from forklifts on loops to pedestrians on buttons.
Self-repairing curtains. After a knock, many curtains reset themselves automatically instead of waiting for an engineer.

Typical scopes of work

Adding a high-speed fabric door inside an existing sectional door so the outer door can stay open during the shift.
Setting up radar with cross-traffic suppression so a door on a busy aisle opens only for approaching traffic.
Cutting induction loops on both sides of a high-speed door so forklifts trigger it but pedestrians do not.

Safety law for industrial doors in Scotland

Industrial doors in Forres are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Planning the work around your site

Electrical work is the part that most often delays a job. If a new or converted door needs a supply, we confirm the motor's requirement at quote stage so your electrician can provide an isolator in the right place before installation day.
