What we fit in Sittingbourne
- Vision panels. Clear vision strips or windows so drivers can see through the closed door.
- Smart activation. Radar, loops, pull cords or interlocks set to the traffic using the door.
- Fabric doors. PVC-coated fabric roll-up doors for internal routes and sheltered external openings.
- Spiral doors. Rigid insulated slats on a spiral for fast, secure, wind-resistant external doors.
- Light curtains. Full-height safety light curtains in the frame stop the door closing on anything.
Typical scopes of work
- Fitting a wind-resistant high-speed fabric door to a sheltered external yard opening, with traffic lights for drivers.
- Replacing a worn fabric curtain, bottom bar and drive belt on a door logging thousands of cycles a week.
- Adding a high-speed fabric door inside an existing sectional door so the outer door can stay open during the shift.
Who is responsible for door safety at a site in Sittingbourne?
In England, two sets of duties meet at a powered door. The installer who supplies or motorises it must hand over a door that meets the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008, tested against BS EN 12453 and documented. The business in control of the premises must then maintain it: regulation 5 of the Workplace Regulations 1992 covers maintenance, and regulation 18 requires upward-opening doors to have a device that stops them falling back and powered doors to have features that prevent trapping.
Keeping your site running during the work
For busy sites in Kent the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

High-speed doors in Sittingbourne: your questions
How long does it take to install a high-speed door in Sittingbourne?
A typical fabric door is fitted and commissioned in a day once it arrives. Spiral doors, interlocks and floor loops add time. The manufacturer's lead time is confirmed with your quote, and we fit around your operations.
Do high-speed doors in Sittingbourne need more servicing than standard doors?
Usually, yes, because they cycle so often. We base the service interval on the cycle counter and the manufacturer's guidance rather than a fixed annual visit, and can set up a planned maintenance schedule.
How much does a high-speed door cost in Sittingbourne?
Our guide price is £7,495 to £15,995 ex VAT for a high-speed fabric door and £17,995 to £34,995 for a spiral (rigid slat) door, supplied and fitted. We survey your Sittingbourne opening free of charge and then confirm a fixed price in writing.
