Options for high-speed doors in Faversham

Breakaway bottom bars. Bottom bars that release on impact to limit damage to the door and the vehicle.
Inverter drives. A frequency inverter accelerates and brakes the curtain smoothly, cutting wear on every cycle.
Fabric doors. Lightweight roll-up curtains that suit most internal doorways and many protected external ones.
Vision panels. See-through panels let drivers and pedestrians spot each other before the door opens.
Spiral doors. Aluminium slats that never touch as they run, giving speed, insulation and security in one door.

Examples of work we can quote for

Installing an insulated spiral door as the main external opening on a temperature-controlled distribution unit.
Setting up radar with cross-traffic suppression so a door on a busy aisle opens only for approaching traffic.
Cutting induction loops on both sides of a high-speed door so forklifts trigger it but pedestrians do not.

Powered door rules that apply in Faversham

Faversham is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Planning the work around your site

Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.

Your questions about high-speed doors

Can you fit a high-speed door alongside our existing door in Faversham?

Often, yes. A high-speed door can sit inside or outside an existing shutter or sectional door, with the conventional door closed at night. We check the space and fixings on survey.

Do high-speed doors in Faversham need more servicing than standard doors?

Usually, yes, because they cycle so often. We base the service interval on the cycle counter and the manufacturer's guidance rather than a fixed annual visit, and can set up a planned maintenance schedule.

How much does a high-speed door cost in Faversham?

Our guide price is £7,495 to £15,995 ex VAT for a high-speed fabric door and £17,995 to £34,995 for a spiral (rigid slat) door, supplied and fitted. We survey your Faversham opening free of charge and then confirm a fixed price in writing.
