Options for high-speed doors in Newark-on-Trent

Light curtains. Sensors along the side frames watch the whole opening and keep the door open while it is occupied.
Inverter drives. Soft start and stop protect the curtain and drive at high cycle rates.
Fabric doors. Lightweight roll-up curtains that suit most internal doorways and many protected external ones.
Breakaway bottom bars. Bottom bars that release on impact to limit damage to the door and the vehicle.
Vision panels. See-through panels let drivers and pedestrians spot each other before the door opens.

Jobs we can carry out

Interlocking two high-speed doors as an airlock between a clean production area and the general warehouse.
Cutting induction loops on both sides of a high-speed door so forklifts trigger it but pedestrians do not.
Replacing a worn fabric curtain, bottom bar and drive belt on a door logging thousands of cycles a week.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Newark-on-Trent are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Keeping your site running during the work

If your premises are leased, check whether the landlord needs to approve the work. We can provide drawings and product data for the landlord or managing agent before the order is placed.
