Jobs we can carry out

Phasing the replacement of several loading bay doors over consecutive weekends so goods-in stays open during the week.
Fitting a freezer door with heated frame and inside release to a new cold room within a food production unit.
Fitting sectional doors, a high-speed internal door and steel personnel doors to a new-build warehouse as one coordinated package.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Camborne are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Planning the work around your site

Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.

Frequently asked questions

How soon could a new door be installed at our Camborne premises?

It depends mainly on the manufacturer's lead time for a made-to-measure door, which we confirm in the quote. Installation is then booked around your operations, and most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day.

Which door types do you install in Camborne?

Roller shutters, insulated roller doors, sectional overhead doors, high-speed doors, fire shutters, sliding and folding doors, hangar doors, cold store doors, steel personnel doors, traffic doors and strip curtains, plus loading bay equipment such as levellers and shelters.

Is the survey free for sites in Camborne?

Yes, for new installations and replacements. We measure the opening and the space around it, check fixings, power and obstructions, and talk through how the door is used before preparing a written quote. Repair and service visits are charged separately.
