Free survey. We measure and inspect the opening first, so the price reflects your building rather than a guess.
Aftercare. Once fitted, we can service the door on a schedule and repair it, along with doors from other installers.
All door types. One installer for every common industrial door, from simple shutters to fire-rated and high-speed doors.

What this work can involve

Adding a high-speed fabric door inside an existing shutter so the main door can stay open through the working day.
Supplying a bottom-rolling sliding door for a wide opening where there is no headroom for a coiled or tracked door.
Phasing the replacement of several loading bay doors over consecutive weekends so goods-in stays open during the week.

Who is responsible for door safety at a site in Falmouth?

In England, two sets of duties meet at a powered door. The installer who supplies or motorises it must hand over a door that meets the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008, tested against BS EN 12453 and documented. The business in control of the premises must then maintain it: regulation 5 of the Workplace Regulations 1992 covers maintenance, and regulation 18 requires upward-opening doors to have a device that stops them falling back and powered doors to have features that prevent trapping.

Planning the work around your site

For busy sites in Cornwall the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Questions from businesses in Falmouth

Can you replace an old door at our Falmouth unit and take the old one away?

Yes. Strip-out and disposal of the old door is priced as a separate line, along with any new framing or making good the opening needs. We confirm these details at survey so nothing is left to agree on the day.

Is the survey free for sites in Falmouth?

Yes, for new installations and replacements. We measure the opening and the space around it, check fixings, power and obstructions, and talk through how the door is used before preparing a written quote. Repair and service visits are charged separately.

How soon could a new door be installed at our Falmouth premises?

It depends mainly on the manufacturer's lead time for a made-to-measure door, which we confirm in the quote. Installation is then booked around your operations, and most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day.
