What we fit in Ossett

Safety set-up. Powered doors fitted with safety edges or light curtains and force-tested to BS EN 12453.
Free survey. We measure and inspect the opening first, so the price reflects your building rather than a guess.
Drives and controls. Motors sized to the door and controls matched to your traffic, from a key switch to induction loops.
Conformity paperwork. Handover includes the product and machinery conformity documents plus commissioning records.
Aftercare. Planned maintenance and repairs available for the doors we fit and most other makes.

Typical scopes of work

Phasing the replacement of several loading bay doors over consecutive weekends so goods-in stays open during the week.
Installing a fire shutter in a compartment wall where a conveyor line passes between production and dispatch areas.
Supplying a bottom-rolling sliding door for a wide opening where there is no headroom for a coiled or tracked door.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Ossett are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Planning the work around your site

Electrical work is the part that most often delays a job. If a new or converted door needs a supply, we confirm the motor's requirement at quote stage so your electrician can provide an isolator in the right place before installation day.

Industrial door installation in Ossett: your questions

Which door types do you install in Ossett?

Roller shutters, insulated roller doors, sectional overhead doors, high-speed doors, fire shutters, sliding and folding doors, hangar doors, cold store doors, steel personnel doors, traffic doors and strip curtains, plus loading bay equipment such as levellers and shelters.

How soon could a new door be installed at our Ossett premises?

It depends mainly on the manufacturer's lead time for a made-to-measure door, which we confirm in the quote. Installation is then booked around your operations, and most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day.

Yes, for new installations and replacements. We measure the opening and the space around it, check fixings, power and obstructions, and talk through how the door is used before preparing a written quote. Repair and service visits are charged separately.
