Installing perforated shutters across a covered loading area so the space stays ventilated and visible when locked.
Replacing a vehicle-damaged shutter in a trade yard with a heavier-gauge curtain and guide-rail protection.
Face-fixing a roller shutter with a steel hood where internal racking leaves no room behind the opening.

Powered door rules that apply in Abergavenny

Abergavenny is in Wales, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Frequently asked questions

Does an electric roller shutter at our Abergavenny site need safety devices?

It depends on the risk assessment. A hold-to-run shutter in view of the operator may need little more than force limiting, while one that closes automatically typically needs a safety edge and photocells, tested to BS EN 12453.

How quickly can a roller shutter be fitted in Abergavenny?

Once the made-to-measure shutter arrives, most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day. The manufacturer's lead time is confirmed with your quote, and installation is booked around your opening hours.

Can you supply security-rated shutters in Abergavenny?

Yes. Where your insurer asks for a rating such as LPS 1175, we supply a shutter whose manufacturer holds that certification and install it to the certified specification. Check the exact rating your insurer wants before ordering.
