Options that matter on site
- Mounting options. We mount the shutter wherever it fits most easily, including outside with a hood over the coil.
- Manual override. Powered shutters keep a chain or handle override so they open without power.
- Security. Bottom-rail locks and shoot bolts, with LPS 1175 rated products available.
- Steel curtains. Heavier lath gauges for wide or exposed doors; lighter profiles where space and budget are tight.
- Safety devices. Safety edges, photocells and anti-fall devices on powered shutters.
Typical scopes of work
- Converting hand-chained shutters on a storage unit to electric operation with key-switch controls and safety edges.
- Supplying a security-rated roller shutter, installed to the certified specification, to meet an insurer's requirement for a high-value stockroom.
- Renewing the bottom rail, floor seal and end locks on a roller shutter that jams in its guides.
Who is responsible for door safety at a site in County Londonderry?
In Northern Ireland, the business in control of the premises must keep doors and gates safe under the Workplace Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1993 and maintain work equipment under PUWER (Northern Ireland) 1999, with HSENI as the regulator. The installer who supplies or motorises a door hands over the conformity documents and user instructions; CE marking remains the relevant mark for machinery here.
Planning the work around your site
Before work starts we send a method statement and risk assessment, confirm who on site will be our contact and agree where materials and access equipment will go. On shared industrial estates that can mean booking yard space with the landlord.
