Options that matter on site

Colour finishes. Plain galvanised or powder-coated to a RAL colour.
Mounting options. We mount the shutter wherever it fits most easily, including outside with a hood over the coil.
Security. Locking options for everyday security, and certified rated shutters where insurers ask for them.
Manual or electric. Hand-operated for occasional use, electric for anything opened through the working day.
Steel curtains. Galvanised steel laths in gauges to suit the width and the level of abuse expected.

What this work can involve

Supplying a security-rated roller shutter, installed to the certified specification, to meet an insurer's requirement for a high-value stockroom.
Replacing a run of rusted shutters on a block of trade units, finished in one matching RAL colour.
Installing perforated shutters across a covered loading area so the space stays ventilated and visible when locked.

Powered door rules that apply in Stourport-on-Severn

Stourport-on-Severn is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Planning the work around your site

Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.

Questions from businesses in Stourport-on-Severn

Does an electric roller shutter at our Stourport-on-Severn site need safety devices?

It depends on the risk assessment. A hold-to-run shutter in view of the operator may need little more than force limiting, while one that closes automatically typically needs a safety edge and photocells, tested to BS EN 12453.

Do you remove old shutters at sites in Stourport-on-Severn?

Yes. Strip-out and disposal of the old shutter is shown as a separate line in the quote, along with any repairs to the opening. The old door normally comes out as part of the same visit that fits the new one.

How quickly can a roller shutter be fitted in Stourport-on-Severn?

Once the made-to-measure shutter arrives, most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day. The manufacturer's lead time is confirmed with your quote, and installation is booked around your opening hours.
