What to specify

Colour choice. Powder-coated RAL finishes to match cladding and building trims.
Safety devices. Safety edges, photocells and anti-fall devices fitted as the risk assessment requires.
Electric drive. Tubular or external geared motors with a manual override for power cuts.
Compact coil. The curtain coils above the opening, leaving ceilings free for lights and sprinklers.
Controls. From a simple button station to loops and radar, the controls match how often the door opens.

Jobs we can carry out

Replacing a corroded single-skin shutter on a heated workshop with an insulated roller door and radio remote control.
Adding wind locks and a heavier geared motor to a wide insulated roller door on an exposed elevation.
Fitting an insulated roller door to a trade counter unit where sprinkler mains leave no room for sectional door tracks.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Newcastle-under-Lyme are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

How the work is organised

Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.
