Options that matter on site

Wicket doors. Integrated pass doors, including low-threshold versions, for staff access without opening the main door.
Safety devices. Every powered door is fitted with the safety functions its risk assessment needs and force-tested before handover.
Finishes. RAL colours to match cladding, with stucco or woodgrain embossing on the outer skin.
Insulated panels. 40 mm PU-insulated steel panels as standard, with thicker thermal panels where heat loss matters.
Track layouts. We pick the track after measuring headroom and obstructions, so the door clears lights, sprinklers and crane rails.

Examples of work we can quote for

Converting a manual chain-operated sectional door to electric operation with a shaft-mounted motor, safety edge and photocells.
Replacing a draughty single-skin roller shutter with an insulated sectional door and a low-threshold wicket door.
Renewing torsion springs and lift cables on a busy loading bay door, with higher-cycle springs where the usage justifies them.

Safety law for industrial doors in Wales

Industrial doors in Gwent are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Planning the work around your site

If your premises are leased, check whether the landlord needs to approve the work. We can provide drawings and product data for the landlord or managing agent before the order is placed.

Your questions about sectional overhead doors

How soon can a sectional door be fitted in Gwent?

Sectional doors are made to measure, so the manufacturer's lead time sets the date. We confirm it with the quote, book installation around your operations and fit most single doors in a day once the opening is ready.

Will a sectional door reduce heating costs at our Gwent premises?

An insulated, well-sealed sectional door loses much less heat than a single-skin shutter, and keeping it closed with fast electric operation helps further. Actual savings depend on your building, heating and how often the door is open.

How much is a sectional overhead door in Gwent?

Our guide price for an electric, 40 mm insulated sectional door up to about 4 × 4.5 m is £3,495 to £8,495 ex VAT, supplied and fitted. The fixed price for your opening in Gwent is confirmed in writing after a free survey.
