What we fit in Caerphilly

Electric drives. Shaft-mounted motors with push-button, remote, loop or radar control, and inverter drives for high-cycle bays.
Paperwork. You get the manufacturer's Declaration of Performance plus commissioning and test records for your files.
Insulated panels. Steel sandwich panels with a foam core keep heat in and noise out; thicker panels are available for temperature-controlled units.
Vision panels. Add a row of vision panels or full-vision aluminium sections for daylight and a clear view of vehicles outside.
Finishes. RAL colours to match cladding, with stucco or woodgrain embossing on the outer skin.

What this work can involve

Supplying full-vision aluminium sections for a vehicle workshop door so technicians get daylight without opening the door.
Installing a sectional door on low-headroom tracks in a steel-framed unit where the roof haunch sits close above the opening.
Renewing torsion springs and lift cables on a busy loading bay door, with higher-cycle springs where the usage justifies them.

Safety law for industrial doors in Wales

Industrial doors in Caerphilly are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

How the work is organised

Before work starts we send a method statement and risk assessment, confirm who on site will be our contact and agree where materials and access equipment will go. On shared industrial estates that can mean booking yard space with the landlord.

Your questions about sectional overhead doors

Do you survey sites in Caerphilly before quoting?

Yes. Surveys for new and replacement doors are free. We measure the opening, headroom and obstructions, check the fixings and power supply, and discuss how the door will be used before we price it.

Which safety devices does a powered sectional door in Caerphilly need?

That comes from the risk assessment for your site, but typically a safety edge or light curtain, spring-break and cable-break protection and limited closing forces tested to BS EN 12453. Busy pedestrian routes may call for more.
