What we fit in Norwich

Finishes. Choose a colour to match your building and a stucco or ribbed finish that hides minor knocks.
Track layouts. Standard, low headroom, high lift and vertical lift tracks, chosen after measuring your headroom.
Vision panels. Glazed rows or full-vision sections bring daylight in and let drivers see the yard.
Paperwork. Declaration of Performance, user instructions and commissioning records handed over on completion.
Insulated panels. Steel sandwich panels with a foam core keep heat in and noise out; thicker panels are available for temperature-controlled units.

What this work can involve

Renewing torsion springs and lift cables on a busy loading bay door, with higher-cycle springs where the usage justifies them.
Adding induction loops and an inverter drive so forklifts can open a busy internal sectional door without stopping.
Supplying sectional doors in a RAL colour matched to the existing cladding as part of a unit refurbishment between tenants.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Norwich are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

How the work is organised

Electrical work is the part that most often delays a job. If a new or converted door needs a supply, we confirm the motor's requirement at quote stage so your electrician can provide an isolator in the right place before installation day.

Your questions about sectional overhead doors

How much is a sectional overhead door in Norwich?

Our guide price for an electric, 40 mm insulated sectional door up to about 4 × 4.5 m is £3,495 to £8,495 ex VAT, supplied and fitted. The fixed price for your opening in Norwich is confirmed in writing after a free survey.

Will a sectional door reduce heating costs at our Norwich premises?

An insulated, well-sealed sectional door loses much less heat than a single-skin shutter, and keeping it closed with fast electric operation helps further. Actual savings depend on your building, heating and how often the door is open.

Can you replace a roller shutter with a sectional door at our Norwich unit?

Usually, yes, provided there is enough headroom and side room for the tracks. Low-headroom track kits cover many older units. We check this on the survey and include strip-out and making good in the quote.
