Options that matter on site

Finishes. RAL colours to match cladding, with stucco or woodgrain embossing on the outer skin.
Vision panels. Add a row of vision panels or full-vision aluminium sections for daylight and a clear view of vehicles outside.
Electric drives. Shaft-mounted motors with push-button, remote, loop or radar control, and inverter drives for high-cycle bays.
Wicket doors. A pass door built into the panels saves opening the whole door for pedestrians; low-threshold options reduce trips.
Paperwork. You get the manufacturer's Declaration of Performance plus commissioning and test records for your files.

What this work can involve

Supplying sectional doors in a RAL colour matched to the existing cladding as part of a unit refurbishment between tenants.
Renewing torsion springs and lift cables on a busy loading bay door, with higher-cycle springs where the usage justifies them.
Adding induction loops and an inverter drive so forklifts can open a busy internal sectional door without stopping.

Powered door rules that apply in Hexham

Hexham is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Access, phasing and timing
