What we fit in Cleckheaton

Safety devices. Spring-break and cable-break protection, safety edges, photocells or light curtains, set up to BS EN 12453.
Paperwork. Declaration of Performance, user instructions and commissioning records handed over on completion.
Track layouts. Standard, low headroom, high lift and vertical lift tracks, chosen after measuring your headroom.
Insulated panels. Steel sandwich panels with a foam core keep heat in and noise out; thicker panels are available for temperature-controlled units.
Wicket doors. Integrated pass doors, including low-threshold versions, for staff access without opening the main door.

What this work can involve

Fitting a bank of insulated sectional doors to a new distribution unit, with high-lift tracks to clear sprinkler mains and lighting.
Adding induction loops and an inverter drive so forklifts can open a busy internal sectional door without stopping.
Installing a sectional door on low-headroom tracks in a steel-framed unit where the roof haunch sits close above the opening.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Cleckheaton are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Access, phasing and timing

Before work starts we send a method statement and risk assessment, confirm who on site will be our contact and agree where materials and access equipment will go. On shared industrial estates that can mean booking yard space with the landlord.

Sectional overhead doors in Cleckheaton: your questions

How soon can a sectional door be fitted in Cleckheaton?

Sectional doors are made to measure, so the manufacturer's lead time sets the date. We confirm it with the quote, book installation around your operations and fit most single doors in a day once the opening is ready.

Which safety devices does a powered sectional door in Cleckheaton need?

That comes from the risk assessment for your site, but typically a safety edge or light curtain, spring-break and cable-break protection and limited closing forces tested to BS EN 12453. Busy pedestrian routes may call for more.

Will a sectional door reduce heating costs at our Cleckheaton premises?

An insulated, well-sealed sectional door loses much less heat than a single-skin shutter, and keeping it closed with fast electric operation helps further. Actual savings depend on your building, heating and how often the door is open.
