Options that matter on site

Insulated panels. Steel sandwich panels with a foam core keep heat in and noise out; thicker panels are available for temperature-controlled units.
Finishes. Choose a colour to match your building and a stucco or ribbed finish that hides minor knocks.
Safety devices. Every powered door is fitted with the safety functions its risk assessment needs and force-tested before handover.
Electric drives. Shaft-mounted motors with push-button, remote, loop or radar control, and inverter drives for high-cycle bays.
Paperwork. Declaration of Performance, user instructions and commissioning records handed over on completion.

Examples of work we can quote for

Converting a manual chain-operated sectional door to electric operation with a shaft-mounted motor, safety edge and photocells.
Fitting a bank of insulated sectional doors to a new distribution unit, with high-lift tracks to clear sprinkler mains and lighting.
Supplying full-vision aluminium sections for a vehicle workshop door so technicians get daylight without opening the door.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Shipley are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

How the work is organised

Sites in and around Shipley vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

Frequently asked questions

Do you survey sites in Shipley before quoting?

Yes. Surveys for new and replacement doors are free. We measure the opening, headroom and obstructions, check the fixings and power supply, and discuss how the door will be used before we price it.

Will a sectional door reduce heating costs at our Shipley premises?

An insulated, well-sealed sectional door loses much less heat than a single-skin shutter, and keeping it closed with fast electric operation helps further. Actual savings depend on your building, heating and how often the door is open.

How soon can a sectional door be fitted in Shipley?

Sectional doors are made to measure, so the manufacturer's lead time sets the date. We confirm it with the quote, book installation around your operations and fit most single doors in a day once the opening is ready.
