What we fit in Burntwood

Insulated options. Insulated panel infill and edge seals for heated buildings.
Wicket doors. Pass doors built into a leaf so staff need not open the whole door.
Top-hung or bottom-rolling. Weight carried overhead or on a floor rail, chosen to suit the structure.
No headroom needed. Leaves move sideways, so nothing coils above or runs under the roof.
Robust build. Steel frames carry cladding to suit the building, from profiled steel to timber boarding.

What this work can involve

Automating a pair of heavy bi-parting sliding doors with a drive motor, safety edges and photocells.
Supplying insulated sliding leaves with edge seals for a converted building now used as a heated workshop.
Installing telescopic sliding doors where the wall space to one side is limited by an adjoining structure.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Burntwood are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Keeping your site running during the work

Before work starts we send a method statement and risk assessment, confirm who on site will be our contact and agree where materials and access equipment will go. On shared industrial estates that can mean booking yard space with the landlord.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to fit sliding doors in Burntwood?

A pair of manual sliding doors on a sound structure is usually fitted in a day or two. Large folding doors, electric operation and new steelwork add time, which we set out with your quote.

Can our existing sliding doors in Burntwood be motorised?

Often, if the leaves and track are in good condition. We assess the doors, fit a drive and the safety devices needed, and take on the conformity responsibilities that come with converting a manual door to power.

Do you fit sliding doors on farm buildings around Staffordshire?

Yes. We supply and fit steel sliding doors on agricultural buildings across Staffordshire, including timber-clad leaves, bottom-rolling gear for lightweight portal frames and wicket doors so staff and livestock handlers can get in without opening the main leaves.
