Options for steel personnel and fire exit doors in Denton

Panic hardware. Where visitors or the public might need to escape, we fit full-width panic bars to BS EN 1125.
Galvanised steel. Leaves made from two zinc-coated steel skins, finished in a hard-wearing powder coat.
Fire-rated doorsets. Where a door must hold back fire, we supply tested fire-rated doorsets and fit them exactly as specified.
Complete doorsets. Frame, leaf, hinges and hardware supplied as one set.
Outside access. Staff can get in from outside with a key or code, but the exit always opens freely from inside.

Typical scopes of work

Replacing seized BS EN 179 push pads on staff-only exits in a factory or production building.
Installing a steel staff entrance door with an overhead closer and keypad access beside a loading bay.
Fitting a louvred double steel door to a plant room or electrical switch room to keep it ventilated and secure.

Which workplace rules apply to these doors?

For premises in Denton, the Workplace Regulations 1992 set the basics: doors suitably constructed, swing doors giving a clear view through when closed, and maintenance under regulation 5. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, an emergency exit door must open easily in the direction of travel and must not be locked or fastened so it cannot be opened immediately in an emergency.

How the work is organised

Most installations in Denton can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.
