What to specify
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
What this work can involve
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Traffic route rules that apply in Bletchley
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Keeping your site running during the work
Most installations in Bletchley can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Frequently asked questions
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Bletchley site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Buckinghamshire?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Buckinghamshire to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Bletchley?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Bletchley in writing after a free survey.
