Options for PVC strip curtains in Truro

Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.

What this work can involve

Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.

Traffic route rules that apply in Truro

Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

Access, phasing and timing

Sites in and around Truro vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

Questions from businesses in Truro

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Truro site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.

Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Cornwall?

Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Cornwall to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.

Which strip curtain grade suits our Truro premises?

Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
