What we fit in Newquay
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
Typical scopes of work
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Newquay must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Planning the work around your site
Most installations in Newquay can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Newquay?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Newquay in writing after a free survey.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Newquay premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Cornwall?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Cornwall to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
