The short version
From a single pedestrian doorway to a wide loading bay in Paignton, we can fit strip curtains matched to the traffic, temperature and visibility needs of each opening, using rails suited to the wall above.

- Area
- Devon

- Free for new installations
What to specify
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
What this work can involve
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
Traffic route rules that apply in Paignton
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
How the work is organised
For busy sites in Devon the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Devon?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Devon to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Paignton site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Paignton?
Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
