Options for PVC strip curtains in Newton Abbot
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
What this work can involve
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
Traffic route rules that apply in Newton Abbot
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Access, phasing and timing
Sites in and around Newton Abbot vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains
Which strip curtain grade suits our Newton Abbot premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Newton Abbot?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Newton Abbot?
Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
