What we fit in Dorchester

Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.

Typical scopes of work

Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.

Traffic route rules that apply in Dorchester

Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

Access, phasing and timing

Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.

PVC strip curtains in Dorchester: your questions

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Dorchester site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.

How much is a PVC strip curtain in Dorchester?

Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Dorchester in writing after a free survey.

Which strip curtain grade suits our Dorchester premises?

Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
