What to specify
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
What this work can involve
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Wales
The business running the site in Ammanford must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Keeping your site running during the work
Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.

PVC strip curtains in Ammanford: your questions
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Dyfed?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Dyfed to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Ammanford site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Ammanford?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Ammanford in writing after a free survey.
