Options for PVC strip curtains in Carmarthen
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
Typical scopes of work
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Wales
The business running the site in Carmarthen must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Access, phasing and timing
Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.
