What to specify
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
What this work can involve
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Traffic route rules that apply in Crowborough
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

Frequently asked questions
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Crowborough site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Crowborough?
Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Crowborough?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Crowborough in writing after a free survey.
