Options that matter on site
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
Typical scopes of work
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Traffic route rules that apply in Sevenoaks
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Planning the work around your site
For busy sites in Kent the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Frequently asked questions
Which strip curtain grade suits our Sevenoaks premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Sevenoaks?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Sevenoaks?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Sevenoaks in writing after a free survey.
