What we fit in Waltham Abbey
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
Jobs we can carry out
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Waltham Abbey must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Access, phasing and timing
Sites in and around Waltham Abbey vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

PVC strip curtains in Waltham Abbey: your questions
How often should strip curtains in Waltham Abbey be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Waltham Abbey?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Waltham Abbey site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
