What we fit in Easterhouse
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
Typical scopes of work
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Scotland
The business running the site in Easterhouse must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Keeping your site running during the work
Most installations in Easterhouse can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

PVC strip curtains in Easterhouse: your questions
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Easterhouse site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Easterhouse?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Easterhouse in writing after a free survey.
How often should strip curtains in Easterhouse be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
