Options that matter on site

Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.

What this work can involve

Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.

Keeping strip curtains safe in Scotland

The business running the site in Bellshill must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.

Access, phasing and timing

Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.

Frequently asked questions

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Bellshill site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.

How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Bellshill?

Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.

Which strip curtain grade suits our Bellshill premises?

Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
