Options for PVC strip curtains in Hamilton
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
Typical scopes of work
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Scotland
The business running the site in Hamilton must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Hamilton?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Hamilton in writing after a free survey.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Lanarkshire?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Lanarkshire to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Hamilton premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
